Last updated: May 9, 2023

This Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”) has been established by Opera’s General Counsel for all Opera Group companies (hereinafter, collectively “Opera”). The purpose of this Code is to provide a description of the minimum ethical standards which Opera expects and requires to be maintained by all suppliers or business partners (“Suppliers”) providing goods or services to Opera.

  1. Human Rights. In performing services or providing goods to Opera, each Supplier shall ensure that both the Supplier and any permitted sub-contractors provide goods and/or perform services in compliance with internationally recognized basic human rights. Such basic human rights shall include, without limitation, those established in the UN Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights from 1966, the UN Convention on Civil and Political Rights from 1966 and the ILO’s core conventions on fundamental rights and principles in working life.
  2. Decent Working Conditions. In performing services or providing goods to Opera, each Supplier shall ensure that both both the Supplier and any permitted sub-contractors: (a) provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees; and (b) comply with all applicable labor and employment laws, including anti-discrimination laws and laws related to freedom of association, privacy and collective bargaining.
  3. Decent Working Conditions. 4. Anti-bribery and Corruption. Suppliers are prohibited from offering or providing cash or cash equivalent gifts (e.g., gift cards, store cards or gambling chips) or lavish hospitality to any Opera employee. Suppliers must ensure that they have adequate procedures in place to prevent bribery and corruption.
  5. Monitoring and Enforcement. Opera is committed to ensuring that its Suppliers comply with the standards set forth in this Code. Opera may monitor Suppliers’ compliance with this Code through audits, document reviews, and other means. Suppliers are expected to cooperate in any audit or review related to compliance with this Code. Suppliers are also expected to promptly report to Opera any known or suspected violations of this Code. If Opera becomes aware of any potential or actual violation of this Code by a Supplier, Opera reserves the right to take appropriate actions, which may include requiring corrective action plans, termination of business relationships, or other remedies deemed appropriate by Opera.
